Dear Worcester Cultural Coalition member organizations, supporters, and friends:

As we shared this past February, the City of Worcester’s Cultural Development Officer and Executive Director of the Worcester Cultural Coalition Erin Williams announced her intent to step aside from her roles in June.

While Erin’s departure will be leaving us with the biggest of shoes to fill, we must also look at this as a great opportunity to help shape the future of Worcester’s cultural sector.

The City of Worcester (City) and the Worcester Cultural Coalition have partnered on the search to secure our next Cultural Development Officer and Executive Director. The Cultural Development Officer serves as a liaison between the arts, cultural and creative community in the Greater Worcester area and the City government to develop, advance, and implement a creative cultural agenda for all of Worcester residents and businesses.

We hope to attract the most strategic, passionate, and collaborative candidate as possible – an individual to fearlessly lead our sector, advocate for our needs, and champion our work and contributions to the community. But we need your help spreading the word!

The position is currently posted on the City of Worcester’s website. We encourage you to share these position details with any candidate that you believe would be a great fit for this role. Please consider amplifying this announcement via social media (e.g Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)

Thank you in advance for helping promote this position amongst your networks.

Sincerely,

Eric Butler

Worcester Cultural Coalition, Chair
