With the March 5th Legislative Breakfast behind us, one thing is clear: there’s work to be done to advance the arts and culture sector, and it’s going to require participation at all levels. The Worcester Cultural Coalition and partners across the state invite you to watch the 2021 Legislative Breakfast here, and take a look at the following items to form your own action plans.

MassCreative has examined the impact of the pandemic thus far – Creative Workers and Cultural Groups in MA have lost $500 million since March 2020. You can take also a moment to send an email to your legislators using this online form.

In its advocacy for a well-resourced and equitable creative sector, which is essential to the economic and civic vibrancy of Massachusetts, MassCreative compiled a list of Federal and State Legislative Priorities.

In December 2020, the Worcester Cultural Coalition launched its Creative Giving Campaign, hosting a list of Worcester-area arts and cultural organizations which accept online donations. WCC executive director Erin Williams also penned an op-ed piece “” to further this call to action.

The Mass Cultural Council Communities Initiative manages the Commonwealth’s Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program, the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation. The MCC seeks to advance HD655 and SD1204, bills filed to Expand LCC Membership Opportunities.
